Kentucky Horsepark Campground.

The Kentucky Horse park Campground is located in Lexington on Iron Works Pkwy. The campground has been in business since 1978. This park covers 1,224 acres with 115 horses and 50 different types of horses. This campground you can either tent camp or you can bring your RV. You must have reservations to camp at the Horse park. This park is great for the whole family there is always something going on. The Horse park continues to grow every year with new activities being added there is something for the whole family to enjoy.

When camping at the horse park there is always something to do, from horse backing riding to checking out the museum. The Horse park also has different horse shows that run daily, so if the weather is bad one day there is still something to do. The Horse park also has different events that run different seasons of the year. The Southern Lights is one of the best known event, which runs in the month of December. During the summer months the horse park opens its pool to all guest.

One of the most hyped up events that will be coming this year is the 2010 World Equestrian Games. This event is the world championship for eight equestrian sport shows which include jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, endurance, vaulting, reining and para- equestrian. The World Equestrian Games are help every four years, and is governed by the Federation Equestre Internation.
